Customer Reviews

The kittens that got the cream...4
Firstly, don't be put off by four stars, not five, it's just my way of saying that this isn't absolutely the best album ever (I prefer to be realistic), but nonetheless it's pretty solid, and well worth a listen, as my track-by-track analysis should hopefully confirm.

1 Ladies Night (8/10) A pretty good uptempo party start, slight departure from the typical AK ballads.
2 Be With You (10/10) Reminiscent of Kylie's 'Fever' album, gorgeous breathey vocals and a killer dancey chorus. The girls sound fantastic on this one.
3 Don't Go Breaking My Heart (8/10) Groovy and almost reggae sounding! Very un-Atomic Kitten sounding, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. Spices the album up a bit...
4 If You Come To Me (10/10) One of my favourites. This is the typical AK we know and love, sweet verses and a calm but catchy chorus to soothe away the day.
5 Believer (10/10) Quiet, subtle verses with very seductive vocals that suddenly explode into an incredibly uplifting chorus.
6 Everything Goes Around (7/10) It's probably the hook that will draw you in on this one. There's a certain funkiness to it that will make you want to tap your feet along cos the chorus itself really isn't that catchy.
7 Somebody Like You (5/10) The girls go all dancey on us. Personally I think it's a bit boring. It just doesn't go anywhere.
8 Nothing In The World (10+/10) Beautiful ballad. Just absolutely stunning, and their vocals work really well on this. This is the sort of song you could fall in love to.
9 Always Be My Baby (8/10) I can remember really hating this one, but it grew on me. Bit old-fashioned and dated, but if you stick with it, there's quite a nice melody underneath.
10 I Won't Be There (10/10) Think Kym Marsh - Cry, and you know just what to expect from this. Very catchy, the kinda song you just HAVE to sing along to!
11 Never Get Over You (6/10) Ok, so there's nothing wrong with it, but there's not really anything right with it either. A bland and boring acoustic ballad that I prefer to skip. Having said that, it sounds a lot like 'Someone Like Me', and that didn't do too bad in the charts...
12 Don't You Know (7/10) We're kinda straying toward filler territory now. This is ok, but there's better.
13 Loving You (10+/10) WOW WOW WOW. The girls rescue the CD from dive bombing after the last two tracks with this extremely catchy uptempo dancey track. This is exactly the kind of song you'd want to dance to on the beach as the sun goes down... and maybe even when it comes back up again if you have the energy!!
14 Don't Let Me Down (8/10) This is a nice one. Probably one of the middle-ish tracks. Not up there with the best, but it's certainly not a filler either. Just a pleasant middle of the road AK track.
15 Someone Like You (9/10) I had absolutely no idea why they chose this as a single when it came out! Very basic and under-produced you could argue, but it does grow, and if you give it a chance, it starts to share the same kind of subtle magic as tracks like Britney's #1 smash 'Everytime'.

It's the same as it always was, all over again!3
It seems funny to say that Atomic Kitten's 'Ladies Night' is their best album yet, because the kittens have released the same album three times already, they just keep purrfecting (sorry) the formula. Add a few disco numbers to keep the Kylie-minded amoung us appeased, throw in a life-affirming ballad or two so that we can always be reminded what a lovely little pop song 'Whole Again' was, an R&B-ish-lite ditty or two, and finally a cover of a song that either a) doesn't need to be remade or b) shouldn't be remade and BOOM! you've set off an Atomic pop-bomb. And flying in the face of musical snobbery, the formula works! Making Atomic Kitten a safe bet as well as a guilty pleasure. It aint broke, so don't fix it!

AMAZING!5
This album is absolutely amazing. BUY IT! All 15 tracks are great and the girls have done really well. Stand out tracks include the song Loving You and the 2nd single, Ladies Night! I definitely reccomend this!
