An excellent book for both amateurs & professionals
I found 'Rebuilding Small Block Ford Engines' an extremely informative, concise, helpful, but more importantly clear book. It includes a very usefull section on parts changeability between engines, general strip-down & rebuild instructions supplemented with clear photographs & useful diagrams. Whilst mainly focusing on the engines, a chapter was also devoted to a typical engine removal from a vehicle, which gave a useful insight into problems which may be encountered. Of particular use was the chapter on deciding whether your engine required a rebuild, giving a useful insight into what causes various noises, where they can come from & what they mean. Most of this information has the added advantage of being applicable to just about any petrol engine.

To sum up, I found this book so useful that I would by it again, even though I already own it!
