Average customer review:Product Description
The Sawdays collection grows to include this new guide on special places to stay for mountain-lovers. As with the rest of the series, the guide includes colour photos and lively, informative write-ups. Our approach is unusual. There are no set rules, no interminable checklists and no hard and fast criteria for inclusion. We look for what we like, and celebrate the unusual, the beautiful and the individual.

Customer Reviews
You don't need to go skiing to need this book
but if you are a keen winter sports fan and want to avoid the usual 'package places' then click to buy this book immediately. Covering the mountains of Austria, France, Italy and Switzerland it provides page upon page of desirable places to stay with useful details of distances to piste/lift etc alongside each one. One of the other aspects of these Sawdays guides I find most useful are the quick reference indices at the back of the books, in this particular one covering things such as 'one hour or less from airport' (for those snatched weekends) and'Rooms for 100 euros or less'.
Lovely photos of all the properties with accurate descriptions (they are all visited), I never use anything other than Sawday's guides for accommodation now. Most highly recommended.
useless
We booked one hotel from this guide which was dire and very expensive. When I wrote to A.Sawday publishers with my observations they said they are not publishing this guide anymore. So why did they do it in the first place if they knew it was so bad?
