Another Disappointment
Cabot has definitely killed this series, she should have stopped at book three (maybe even four). The "student election" story line was slightly more captivating compared to the abysmal "Prom fiasco" that fuelled the fifth book, but apart from that i was "totally" (a word used waaaay 2 much) bored with the plot about Michael wanting her to "do it". Is it just me who is predicting that their so-called blissful relationship is about to end?

Only read this book if your a fan desperate to know what happens next in Mia's clumsily written life.

It's not THAT bad
I'll admit Mia is a total wuss :
She's freaked out by sex at 15!!!!!
She has old fashioned values(she wanted her mum to find out what happened to her 1st boyfriend...)
She is a real push-over
...

Her obseesion with Micheal (what's he thinking?,constantley wondering if he'll break up with her) doesn't seem realistic but those are the exact thoughts that go through some girls heads, Mia's case is an exageration.
But a book about a "normal" life with no exagerations would be boring

And for all those complaining about the writing style : Do you expect a teenage girl's diary written for teenagers to be some kind of classic novel?

It's not the kind of book I usualy read but if I feel like something "light" to read then i will read the princess Diaries

They ARE good books, but they're just not suitable if you're looking for a "proper read".

Nobody is forcing you to read this book so don't if all you're going to do is say that it's a waste of time

These books just get worse and worse!
I used to really like these books when I was eleven, but now, three years later, these books just seem pathetic. I cringed reading half this book, and wanted to smack Mia most of the time. This book would have been quite good if it weren't for the fact that she whined on and on about Michael. If she'd actually TOLD him how she was feeling, etc, like a normal teenage girl would have, then we wouldn't have been tortured with her whining for the whole book. Plus, the stuff with her English teacher was so unrealistic and stupid.
So in my opinion, this book was a load of rubbish. It was unrealistic, annoying, and Mia was very immature in the book. I'm possibly considering not reading Meg's books anymore. If she wrote more books like the Mediator series, but books like this and Teen Idol? A load of rubbish.
So if you, like me, have hated the last two Princess Diaries books, it's probably not a good idea to read this one.
