Editorial Reviews
Synopsis
The author of this book explains that writing about travel, thought of as an ideal job, is not an impossible dream. Getting started is the most difficult task, and she offers advice on this as well as what travel editors want, and whether to submit photographs with travel articles. The book covers what to look for and what to avoid. It describes what the different requirements are for writing for guidebooks, newspapers, magazines, specialist markets and overseas markets. It also includes many examples of published travel writing.
Customer Reviews
The book is ok
If you've never thought about travel writing before, then this book will give you a good idea. But there are other books which I think are better. I'm a journalist (incl travel journalism) and I found nothing new here. In some of the other 'how to be a travel writer' books I could at least pick up one or two new tricks.
