I had never heard of the author Michael Kimball but I was after a crime thriller book and had already read all of the other titles in my local book shop, so I picked up a copy of Undone. I loved this book & can now say it is one of my absolute faves! Its a very unique story which is full of exciting twists and turns, you think you know whats coming next but with the turn of a page you are proved wrong. A book that you can read again and again!
Brilliant plot
From the very first chapter, this book has you hooked. A man plans to fake his own death by being buried alive so is not recommended to the more claustrophobic reader. Many twists and turns all the way through and strong characterisations. This really is one to save for a Sunday when you can read it all in one go.

This is the first Michael Kimball book I have read and certainly I will look out for further titles when choosing my next book to read.
The storyline is intriguing and makes for a great yarn. The characters are well developed and interesting and all display personalities the reader can identify with. Also a nice plus point is that it isn't just the main characters that benefit from the authors attentions, some of the minor supporting characters are pure gems in themselves, the town constable Alston Bouchard is a prime example.
My main criticism of the book though is that it does suffer from a slight lack of pace. I sometimes found my self having to race through the pages just to get the story developing along.
As some of the other reviewers have mentioned Stephen King features as both a reviewer on the blurb of the book and also receives a mention in the author's "thanks" section. The book definitely does have a taste of a Stephen King novel, and not just for the fact it is set in the state of Maine. If Mr Kimball can polish up the pace his books read at, then there really might be a pretender to the great Mr King's crown.
