Customer Reviews

Absolutely the best!5
This is the new and updated edition of what has become a classic for freelance writers. I know that my copy of the first edition has become tattered and creased from much use. It has been a joy to read and be inspired by Andrew Crofts' words of practical wisdom.

If you have hopes of being a writer, or if you are already a writer, then this is the book to read to point you in the right direction and to excite you about your career.

There are no silly graphs, no theories, no daft diagrams - just rock solid totally sensible advice and guidance.

Thanks to this book I look forward to checking my post and emails - knowing that there will be more commissions to write for magazines and companies.

Buy your own copy - accept no substitute!

A must have!5
I loved this book. It was easy to dip into and written in an easy to read style.

Its content mirrored a very expensive course I had started. Obviously you don't get feedback on your work, but the book is an excellent guide to getting you on the right road.

Top-notch Nuts & Bolts Guide4
If you want to get involved in the actual business of freelance writing there is no better guide on the market. Andrew Crofts is well known in the book trade as a ghost writer and it is seldom that he doesn't have a book in the best-seller lists, even if it doesn't have his name on it.
Unlike many books on writing, this book actually tells you how to write for a living and is not full of the normal obsequies to editors that usually plague books like these and reveal a definite bias to the amateur.
Not much use if you want to write a heart-felt labour-of-love novel, otherwise excellent.
