Salvation is at HAND
This album is immense. It has epic sounding metal parts whilst skillfully blending post-rock into their tracks.

Yes, Cult of Luna do seem to follow Neurosis' footsteps a little. However. Salvation is a brilliant starter album to Cult of Luna.

If you like Doom Metal and Post Rock, this is going to blow your socks off.

cracking stuff yet again
cult of luna are a very intelligent and heavy band,they write epic songs filled with emotion and killer riffs and screams and barks that can tear your spine apart,this is their third album and its as good as ever

Same epic slow metal
‘Salvation’ is Cult Of Luna’s 3rd album, and apart from possibly having a few more melodic moments the album follows exactly the same path as their last two records, with Neurosis-style epic songs of very slow but intense metal. As before the constant repetition of slow riffs means that at their best Cult of Luna are hypnotic, but they can stray into simply sounding boring. ‘Salvation’ contains some good moments in this style, but as a whole I’m slightly disappointed by the fact that the band seem to have run out of ideas, and after three full albums comprising variations of the same song the bands formula is starting get a little stale. Reasonable – but I’m hoping the next album will show a little bit more variety.
