Must have box about the dawn of an era
This is a terrific box documenting the firs years of Mute Records, a label that pioneered with electronic music in the early post punk era.

There are eight cd's with reissues of early songs, from experimental tracks by Non to more melodious works by Fad Gadget, Depeche Mode, Yazoo and Nick Cave amongst others. There's even an almost forgotten guest appearance of Eurythmics' Annie Lennox. Two cd's contain previously unreleased live material by the same artists.

And there's a very informative booklet, with details about the artists and an long interview with Mute's founder, Daniel Miller. This is a box for connoisseurs, who will not be disappointed.
