This is a contender IMHO for the greatest piece of literature in the English language. Marvellously constructed and impeccably told, it will shock, soil, disgust and amaze you. Meades is a genius.

Don't know where this ranks in the great history of comic books. But outside of Gaiman's 'Sandman' books this is the best i've seen. Mature, wonderfully drawn and affecting; it's a desert island must.

Forget the story, this is Doom in space on bikes! Tricky at first, once the controls kick in you're speeding around zero-G complexes blasting and grinning like a loon. Most underated game ever.

Superb French strangeness from Caro and Jeunet. Cannibals in an post apocalyptic tower block are thwarted by anarchistic sewer dwellers. Quite... Brilliant.

5 star Sci-Fi about man's first contact with aliens. Any review will seem cliched in the light of so many hackneyed imitators but this is truly magnificent. Even for non SF buffs.

More comedic silliness. Series 2 enters Scrubs sentimentality at times but series 1 is so off the wall and the whole is like a big shiny piece of goodness in the world.

Two stories brought vividly to life that follow the inhabitants of the Scottish isles pre history. Fascinating and believable and utterly complelling.
