The pinnacle of quality photography
This one is perhaps the best of the trilogy - Ansel shows you how he managed to make prints that are (to me at least) perfect. The emphasis is on making the best technically proficient print, whilst at the same time never losing sight of the real aim - producing an image that shows the visualization you (hopefully) had, and that makes you completely happy. The trilogy is more easily digested with the books "Basic techniques of photography" (1 and 2): written by a friend of his with many of his photos, they are a more approachable way into his philosophy.

In case two five star reviews aren't enough to make you buy this book, here's another one. This is an essential guide to black and white print production. While you're at it, get the other two books in the set (The Camera, The Negative) as well. If you're just thinking of starting in the darkroom you'll need an introductory book too; this one doesn't teach the basic procedures, but goes into detail on getting the print right and does it far better than any other book I've seen.
Very important book for each seriously thinking photographer
Ansel Adams provide us his great expirence in very clear way. Each master print is deep explained with lot of practical details concerning situation, materials and darkroom tips. Classical position for this, which self make englarements.
