Product Description

Stuart Gray is a paramedic dealing with the worst life can throw at him. A Paramedic's Diary is his gripping, blow-by-blow account of a year in on the streets - 12 rollercoaster months of enormous highs and tragic lows. One day he'll save a young mother's life as she gives birth, the next he might watch a young girl die on the tarmac in front of him after a hit-and-run. A gripping, entertaining and often amusing read by a talented new writer.

Spot On!5
This is a fantastic read and like many others have said really hard to put down! It gives a real insight to the world of the emergency services and the superb job technicians and paramedics do on a daily basis often without a 'thankyou'. I purchased the book after a stint with Great Western Ambulance Service and often found myself laughing out loud at some of the stories Stuart has written about feeling abit of deja vu sometimes!!! A book worthy of a space on anyones bookshelf and im glad i've got it on mine!!!

Blood, guts, gore and every human emotion5
This book really does take you on a roller coaster ride of emotions.

I felt angry when reading about the time wasters, hoax callers, alcoholics and drug addicts who put other people's lives in jeopardy because they take up so much of Stuart Gray's time.

I felt relief when a life was saved in the most difficult conditions and I found myself in tears when reading the chapter about maternity care.

Splitting up the chapters are boxes which explain, in easy language, some of the medical terms familiar to paramedics but not to laymen. They are really informative and I am also a wiser person for reading them.

Above all, A Paramedic's Diary gives a great insight into the life a paramedic - it is not like any hospital drama I have ever seen! A really interesting read.

Brilliant5
The first book that I have ever read cover to cover without putting it down;negative impact on social life, but utterly worth it!
