The Danchair by BabyDan is a high quality wooden highchair that will blend into any home. As with all Scandinavian home furniture, safety and design come hand in hand. This fully adjustable highchair will provide years of use as your child grows. The seat, footrest and safety brace can be adjusted to suit your child, and the safety brace can later be removed so the Danchair can be used as an adult stool. As your child grows you'll find the footrest helps them reach safely over the table to take part in family meal times. Simply lower then finally remove the footrest as your child grows and they can use the chair for years to come.

The Danchair has been specially designed for stability with extra wide feet and also includes a waist strap harness. Made from rubberwood, the Danchair is easy to clean thanks to the wipeable finish. Because it's designed to pull up close to a table, it has no tray. It will take weight up to 8kg. Easy to assemble, the upright size is 90 cm height, 58 cm width and depth of 45 cm. The seat in the highest position is 58 cm high.

Excellent all around high chair
Bought this chair instead of the Stokke alternative, which runs about twice as expensive. Couldn't be happier. Took about 45 minutes to put this together. The threads in one of the nuts weren't quite right -- couldn't get a bolt to attach correctly (stiff action) -- but I contacted the manufacturer and they posted a new one to me; I received it within two days and it worked great. (I'm very happy with such prompt service, no questions asked.)

The chair itself looks great and is extremely sturdy. The assembly instructions were very clear. The front guard can be left on or off and the chair looks good either way. Same with the straps. My two-year old daughter is able to clamber up and down the chair with no problem. It's made eating at the table so much easier than the previous booster seat, and the plastic high chair she had to be lifted into before that. Very recommended.

Baby Dan High Chair
Item arrived very quickly, easy to assemble. We have found that our 6mth old needed it on the middle setting for the waist restraint, only leaving one more increase before it will be too tight fitting for him to fit in the curved seating area - this is because you have to fix the restraint bar before use and it cannot be adjusted after the 3rd setting is reached - our baby boy is 7mths old now and we will soon need to move to the third setting, he is not overweight either! I also thought the wood colour was a little orangey tone and would have preferred a more natural look, however, it is still a nice design and overall a good seat, allowing our baby to sit at the table with the rest of the family and be included.

Lovely to look at shame it broke
We were very happy with this chair when it arrived although it was fiddly to put together. Our 2.5 year old loved it too, unfortunately after 3 weeks of use the wood started cracking in two along the top strut of the back rest. Amazon couldn't replace it as it was out of stock, so this has resulted in a lot of hassle ordering a different chair. It would be perfect if made of real wood, rather than thin layers laminated together.
