A good base to start your healthy eating during pregnancy
I was getting confused as to what you can and cannot eat during pregnancy, therefore I invested in a book to give me ideas and recipes not only for me but for hubby to eat too. And I can say that I have found it! Delicious and easy to cook- Some are soooo simple and it gives you nutritional and health advice during each trimester with a great summary at the end of each chapter.
I understand that there are some items that you shouldn't eat, but there is a difference in 'not eating' and 'cutting down' on certain foods. For example, there are some cheeses that I've read elsewhere (FSA) which shouldn't be consumed as they are unpasturised, but these do come in pasturised options and it's just a matter of looking closely as to what you buy- The book notes this. I believe a little of everything goes a long way and in moderation. It's aim is to increase your pallet of foods to help to broaden the baby's appetite-Which I never looked at this way before. This book is great! I gave it 4 stars as some of the recipies don't have pictures and I personally like pictures to work with :o) but that's just me. But it doesn't stop you from creating the simple dishes...Enjoy and use common sense especially if you have certain allergies
Good pregnancy book
I bought this book for my sister and she found it very informative regarding her diet and how it affects her baby.
