Disappointing
I expected much from this book - it failed to deliver.
The style of the book was very dry - rather like a college student's essay. It is repetitive - sometimes it even reuses the same quotes from others. Everything it says could be condensed into about 50 pages.
I didn't really learn very much that I didn't already know either.
What a disappointment. I expected this to be a really interesting read.
A must read for responsible consumers
A recent article in the Independent on Sunday got me interested in this book. It’s a must-read for all those who care where our food comes from, how it is produced and sold. This book presents all the facts consumers must know to make a conscious choice when they are shopping. If you liked Naomi Klein’s No Logo you will love this book. Since we are all consumers there is something everybody can do. But we must know the facts. And this book closes this gap.
