Worth the wait5
I have been waiting for this DVD for ages! It seems to me it took a long time to print but now that I have it in my hands and have watched it over and over I can safely say it was worth the wait. I loved watching My family on the telly and was longing to have it on DVD in order to watch it whenever I was feeling blue. It really is a "pick me up" and lifts my spirits instantly. How strange that a comedy can actually reflect on every day situations we all deal with (well, most of them anyway). A definite buy for all comedy lovers. Brilliant cast.

What can I say? The Beeb has done it again!5
What genius had the inspired idea of casting the effervescent Robert Lindsey (fresh from his fabulously understated role as Darth Maul in Star Wars ep1) and Zoe Wanamaker (possibly the best actress of her generation in my poorly estimated opinion) together in one show?. It's a dream partnership that resulted after months of tense wrangling to secure their astronomical remuneration demands. Trust me, it was well worth the estimated £4m of licence payers' money.

I also think it was a brave move on the production team's part to cast a known felon as the oldest loser son, but clearly one that has paid dividends. Perhaps he took a leaf out of Daniel Day Lewis' book and lived the part in preparation for his role! ;)

It was also great to see Daniella Denby Ash working again when the shrewd money would have had her back kid-bothering at Butlins by now. Considering her unceremonious dismissal from Eastenders after the highly publicized aubergine incident, she has done well to land this sought-after gig.

The other kid was one of the final three hundred hopefuls for the big screen part of Harry Potter, and his consistently solid performance is a glowing testament to this.

Now, that's the magnificent cast summarised. It's time to explain the show. With lavish sets and production values on a par with the biggest Hollywood blockbuster, it's plain to see why this trounced the competition in its Friday night time slot. Garden team on itv1 was moved to an earlier slot because it just couldn't compete with this comedy juggernaut. I haven't laughed so much since the equally fantastic Dinnerladies graced our screens.

In summary: BUY IT! BUY IT! BUY IT!

What a programme!5
I was very excited when I noticed this DVD in the shops as, in my opinion, My Family is quite possibly the most hilarious sitcom ever. I was not dissapointed in my excitement! There is not a single episode on this 9-episode disk that I wouldn't want to watch over and over again, and indeed I have watched them over and over again!

If anyone is feeling down, then buying this DVD is a surefire way in which to heighten the spirits! It's worth every penny!

In actual fact, I like this DVD so much that as soon as the second DVD came out I headed straight to the shops and purchased it straight away!

I would recommend this to anyone with a sense of humour, anyone at all!!!

This is indeed, without a doubt, one of the best programmes ever! Every single member of the cast is fantastically hilarious in their own individual way! (Especially the gorgeous Nick!)
