Manufacturer's Description
You've watched the excitement of ER, now experience it first hand!
No sleep in 36 hours, and you lay down for a well-deserved rest. Then the call comes in; a freeway pile-up with multiple victims. Ambulance is 5 minutes out. Welcome to the life and death drama of Chicago's Country General Hospital!
As the hot, new ER intern, your career starts out simple enough, with a gentle flow of patients sporting only minor cuts and bruises, but the stakes quickly escalate into full-fledged ER emergencies. Through it all, you will have to complete goals, dodge sticky politics, deal with gut-wrenching ethical dilemmas and engage in steamy romances. It takes more than what you learned in medical school to ascend the ranks at County General!

Disappointing
I have been a fan of ER for years and thought what a stroke of brilliance it was for a game to be released based on the show.
I enjoyed playing the game, it was slightly too simple in some places (patient diagnosis and treatment) and some tasks seemed pointless and a waste of time. You start the game as a new intern working through 36 hour shifts in an episode format. Each 'episode' in the game takes around 50 minutes to play. When you get to the end of the 5th episode (i think)all the doctors in the hospital tell you how impressed they are with you and you have to speak to the main patients you have treated, once you complete this mind numbingly simple task a box comes up and tells you you have become a full doctor, great i thought more adventures ahead! Wrong you just get dumped back on the main menu and if you wish to play you have to start from scratch again. Not what i was really hoping for after hours of playing. But good fun while it lasted.
Good game, but keeps crashing
I enjoyed playing the game, it's not as interesting or challenging as I hoped but fine on a dull day, but I have attempted to play it on 2 different PC's and on both the game has crashed and I have had to start from the beginning as even if I had saved well beforehand when it gets to the same point where it crashed it happens again. Other than frustrating me a lot it's a decent enough game
How Much Does This Game Suck?
This is one of the worst games I have ever played. I remember a long time ago a game called Life and Death, The Brain which was really exciting, you got to perform real cyber operations and it was informative, instructive and fun. I thought ER was going to be more of the same. Big mistake! I've only played this for half a day but that was more than enough. I know it's not supposed to be the real thing, but curing patients in a game like this should require a bit more thought and reasoning than waving your hands above the patient like you're casting some kind of spell. And the interface is truly awful. Doctors walk through the walls and furniture as well as round and round in circles for no other reason than bad programming as far as I can see. The controls aren't terribly intuitive, and at the end of playing this, I realised I'd wasted a couple of hours of my life that I'd never get back. In short this is a game to not just avoid but run a mile from. Truly awful.
