One of the funniest comedys ever.5
I love this show charlie sheen, John Cryer & Angus are brilliant actors and are hilarious. The Jokes are so funny, the story lines are brilliant every episode is hilarious. I watched the 3 season and the new one on tv and they are wicked and this programmes has some of the funniest one - liners and will make you laugh alot (unlike Juno). A must buy comedy such a brilliant comedy. Buy this and the other 2 you will not regret.

Laugh-out -loud funny5
My daughter and I have seen the first three series and have loved every single episode. I would be unable to say which of the three main characters is the funniest. One cannot help loving Alan in a protective way: he is such a loser and such a control-freak and put-upon by his ex-wife to cap it all. Charlie is great with his boyish charm and cheeky sex-appeal. And what can we say about Jake? We love him but would not want him as a son...
The secondary characters are magnificent too: especially the wicked mother and Rose, the sweet but crazy stalker-neighbour

Do YOU know the maple loops song?5
I received this as a mother's day gift on sunday and have watched the entire series, and it's only friday. It's just so watchable. The cast are absolutely perfect and bounce off each other with ease.

It follows the story of two brothers and their son/nephew. Alan, played by Jon cryer, is thrown out of his home by his wife and has to come and stay with his brother Charlie, played by Charlie Sheen. Alan is a stiff, routine driven, perfectionist and Charlie is a womanising, heavy drinking jingle writer who is loaded. Alan's son, played by Angus T.Jones is adorably pudgy, innocent and hilarious with his one liners.

In addition to these funny men, there are some hilarious women. You have Holland Taylor who plays Alan and Charlie's mother, and she's seen as the anti-christ by both of them. She lives it up just as much as Charlie and isn't afraid to brag about it either. The other woman who stands out is Rose, played by Melanie Lynskey. She's a former one night stand as far as Charlie is concerned, but she's just a little crazy and stalks him as she only lives two doors up the beach from him! She's forever sneaking into Charlie's house in the middle of the night and getting into bed with him.

This show tackles divorce with a sense of humour. It's not afraid to poke fun at poor Alan, nor is it afraid to show a more sensitive side when dealing with relationship failures. I quite simply LOVE this show and watch it all the time on t.v. but now that I've got this boxset I can watch it whenever I please. Do yourself a favour and just buy it, chances are if you don't like it, (and quite frankly I doubt that), someone you know will love it.
