Beavis & Butt-Head: two easily amused, suburban misfits sorely lacking in motivation, depth, and, of course, girlfriends. Synopsis
Animator Mike Judge scored a veritable pop culture phenomenon with his 1990s MTV cartoon series BEAVIS AND BUTT-HEAD. Centred on the moronic misadventures of the two heavy metal-loving teens, the series definitively captured the decade's cultural zeitgeist with its slacker protagonists' couch potato antics and so-dumb-they're-clever observations on the landscape of late 20th-century America (which, on retrospect, were way were ahead of their time). Light on plot but heavy on farcical satire, BEAVIS AND BUTT-HEAD's edgy brand of humour quickly vaulted the series into the highest echelons of cult fandom while garnering controversy for its gleeful promotion of antisocial behaviour. This historic box set--personally edited by creator Mike Judge--includes the duo's finest episodes, specials, promos and guest appearances.

Buyer beware! The so-called "director's cut" versions contain no extra material. In fact, these "director's cut" versions are the opposite of what you would expect. These are newly censored versions and material/dialogue that appeared in the original aired episodes has been removed.

these guys are cool5
Cult cartoon of the 1990's, beavis and butthead are a pair of very dumb teenagers in the town of highland. When not out doing things, they spend their time on the couch watching rock videos. Not a cartoon for the easily offended, but one beloved by many. We laugh at these two because they're so stupid, and also because they do things we'd never dare do.

The dvd presents forty episodes from the series. They were originally broadcast with the episodes being interrupted by the duo commenting on rock videos. That doesn't happen here, and I'm not sure whether I prefer them with the videos or without, but that's a minor complaint. Some episodes are also 'director's cuts' in that material which was edited out beforehand is now back in. Not sure what most of this is, but it may relate to beavis being a pyromaniac, a fact that had to be cut from most for legal reasons. But that's another story.

A disc of extras contains their appearances on other shows, a very good documentary about the origin and history of the programme [although this is not complete and will continue on the forthcoming second volume] and eleven music videos with commentary from beavis and butthead.

A decent dvd package for the fans
