Many people are snobbish about this version but as a Jane Austen fan I think it really captures Anne's despair even if it isn't entirely faithful to the text. Also added bonus of Rupert Penry-Jones!

My second favourite Austen book is brought very successfully to the screen with Jeremy Northan being the perfect Knightley and Paltrow giving a surprisingly good performance as the spoilt Emma.

This musical has everything you could ever want, great costumes, singing, amazing routines and is able to poke fun out of the film business itself!
