I bought this product because of low price and good reviews but now I can say that I was fooled. The mouse and keyboard are cheaply built. The agronomy of the keyboard is especially horrible. The keys are small and the keyboard is too thick and stays very high from desk level. After few minutes of typing it gives pain to my wrists. My suggestion: don't by this product, spend some more and get a better product
Were the designers drunk?
I got the EX110 Desktop set with my new Dell system which I recently purchased. I didn't expect a wireless keyboard and mouse so it was, initially anyway, a very nice surprise. However! In complete agreement with many people who have posted reviews, this keyboard and mouse absolutely DEVOUR battery life. They drain batteries so quickly it's shocking. As the mouse LED is on ALL THE TIME this doesnt really surprise me. I've taken to removing the batteries from the mouse at night. Apparently the keyboard is constantly active too. How ridiculous is this from Logitech, an organisation who's bread and butter is [supposedly] quality peripherals. I actually didn't notice there was no Scroll Lock button until I read it here, but though I don't need it I believe that everybody purchasing a keyboard should expect it to meet the standard (in terms of keys/layout) that we all expect. Any additional buttons are a welcome bonus but least it at least meet the standard. I also hate the placement of those Home/End/Delete/Page Up/Page Down keys. I've had to relearn my natural tendencies because of it. Somebody talked about the keyboard sometimes behaving as though the CTRL key was held in a depressed state - I've suffered this too. All in I'm very disappointed. I think that once I've identified what I get next I'll probably bring this kit to the electronics recycling section down at the local dump, as I'm not sure I could sell these items to somebody else in good conscience. Cheap to buy, but the promise is a lie!
Shake, RATTLE, and roll........
I was foolishly tempted by the low price, and now find that I have a cheap tinny keyboard to deal with. The keys look and feel as though designed by an amateur, but the most irritating feature is the rattle. Every time you touch the keys, wires inside the keyboard jangle against each other. If like me you type a lot, every day, the continuous rattling of the internal wires is quite unacceptable. I have tried everything - blue tack, shaking the keyboard vigorously, holding it upside down, putting it on a table mat, you name it, but all to no avail. Tomorrow I'm going to look for something better, and I'm willing to pay three times the price of this toytown product, if that's what it takes, so long as I get something that DOESN'T RATTLE. No more Logitech kit for me, I'm afraid!
