Back to the Future OST takes you back!!!!!
From the start the familiar sound of Huey Lewis and the News brings all the memories of the classic film rushing back. The whole CD is full of tunes that, if you have watched the film, you will remember. The catchy heaven is one step away will have you tapping your feet while the back to the future theme music is a master piece from Alan Silvestri. Of course the end music is that of the enchantment under the sea dance where Marty McFly (Micheal J Fox) brings the house down with Johnny B Goode.
All in all this CD is a must for any back to the future fan, catchy tunes all the way make this a must buy cd!!!
The soundtrack that changed history
It's not really possible to do better than this for a movie soundtrack, so Hollywood might as well stop now. As well as a corking selection of rock and pop songs, there are two superb orchestral pieces from the inspired Alan Silvestri-penned score.
This collection excels where many others - not least the sequels to this very film - fall down, in that there is a bit of everything.
Huey Lewis & the News contribute 'The Power of Love' and the equally rampant 'Back in Time', and these are strongly complemented by songs from Eric Clapton and Lindsay Buckingham for the 1985 era.
The album's second half details the tracks from Marty's jaunt in 1955 - Etta James' boisterous 'Roll with me Henry' and three songs from the fictitious (but no less capable for it) Marvin Berry & the Starlighters, culminating in the magical 'Earth Angel' and a rip-roaring 'Johnny B Goode'.
It helps if you've seen the film, but even if not, this is a musical feast underpinned by a film score good enough to knock E.T. into a cocked hat.
Back to where it feels good
This CD is packed with great songs and orchestral pieces that easily take you back to the joy of watching this timeless piece of movie magic. The two Huey Lewis & The News tracks are true classics as is Time Bomb Town, written and performed by Lyndsey Buckingham who has a real gift for writing imaginative music, evoking the essence of the film itself. Theres also great nostalgia in Earth Angel and the barnstorming Johnny B.Goode. Alan Silvestri's score is gripping and it will stay with you forever.
