A book with the most cunning and most hair - raising villian
This book is about a young mousemaid called Mariel and she is washed up on the fringes of Mossflower country; half drowned, battered and bruised when she confronted the most evil, hair - raising villian of all, Gabool the Wild! Mariel travels to Redwall Abbey where her incredible story of Badger Lords, fighting hares, and her pursuit against Gabool the Wild, and when she regains her strength again she, Durry, Tarquin and Dandin go back to the island 'Terramort' where Gabool lives and try to fight to the death, but then a mysterious creature arrives, a creature that everyone has feared to wreak destruction on Terramort...

I loved this book, Mariel is a really good character, especially if you like girls who take no nonsence and stand up for themselves. Every time I read one of the Redwall series I can't put the book down untill I've finished it!
