Manufacturer's Description
The Henry HVR200 is a high performance vacuum cleaner with a 1200w motor and a large 9-litre capacity. Henry certainly is powerful but you needn't worry about those more delicate surfaces as the Hi-Lo control allows you to switch to a lower suction. The Microflo dust bags are easy to use and make emptying Henry simple. Accessories include:

Excellent Choice
I purchased the new Henry as a replacement for our upright Dyson. I am impressed with Henry's performance and am now keenly looking to find a new home for the Dyson. We live in an old house, spanning three floors and what a wonderful job Henry does at picking up all the firt and dust. So much better than the Dyson! The really long cord is great so there is no need to constantly replug it in as you move around the house. We also have pets and Henry clears up the pet hair without a problem! My only niggle is that Hetty is more expensive than the Henry. I would have prefered pink but with a higher price tag plus having to pay delivery on Amazon I opted for Henry instead. Obviously this is not related to Henry's performance just personal preference for colour.
Seemed great at first but won't last long with a 3-year old around
We bought a Henry three years ago and at first it seemed fantastic - so many 5 star reviews here, in the early days of owning Henry I completely agree with them. However, over time the tubes do wear against each other and loosen which means they have an annoying tendency to fall off for the umpteenth time every few minutes. Also, as a lot of people here have pointed out, although it seems like a rounded hoover should slide gracefully around objects like tables when you pull the cord, Henry tends to get stuck on practically everything and you have to walk back and move it around the obstacle. Also, falls over really easily. Oh, and contrary to other reports on here, the bag needs emptying just as much as any other hoover we've ever owned.
We put up with most of this anyway because all in all it did a good job - however our son's favourite past-time with Henry is pulling out the power cord and then winding it back up again using the spinning handle on top of Henry. Well, it doesn't take long for the cable to get all knotted up within the drum inside Henry and eventually we had such a short cable left that we couldn't really use Henry any more and had to open it up. By the way - I do not recommend opening up Henry to repair the knotted cable - you realise how cheaply the thing is put together!
Needless to say, we're not going to be buying another one. But what shall we buy - had any equally appalling time with Dysons too!
Henry is for life!
I cannot fault HENRY, infact I am on my second one. The first one lasted me 26 years and it had fallen down the stairs on several occasions, without a mark on it and still smiling!
