With its 5x optical zoom (36-180mm equivalent in 35mm terms) and 12 megapixels resolution, the µ [mju:] 5000 is the perfect choice for flexible, high-performance photography. As with all the new classic µ cameras, this stylish camera has Perfect Shot Preview on board. This enables changes to various settings to be viewed and compared with one another in a multi-frame window on the 6.9cm/2.7" HyperCrystal II LCD before shooting. A further handy function is Perfect Fix, removing red-eyes and shadowy areas from photos, directly in the camera. The ultra-slim µ 5000 is available in a choice of Atlantic Blue or Midnight Black and shoots to both xD-Picture card and microSD.

really good camera just a bit slow...
the camera itself is great and takes some really good quality pics. the only thing that is a bit of a pain is the time it takes to delete pics from the memory card. i had an olympus mini mju before and it was really speedy between menus. the graphics on this one for deleting are fun but slow when you have a lot to do. overall though, i'm pleased with my purchase

Olympus digital camera
Loved the look and feel of this camera. Well made, yet light enough to put away. Did my research before buying this camera to ensure it offered all the functions i needed and more.
As a result of only having it for a short period of time i do not feel i can give it five stars, but based on some recent results, i am certainly pleased.

compact camera with good spec. Size means that finding a reasonably priced case is not so easy- best option take somewhere and try for size.
