Customer Reviews
Lots of sound but no for long!
Purchased three of these through Amazon from market place with upgrade memory cards. Great little units, upgraded memory with cards really good value or so I thought! One failed within a couple of weeks another works when it feels like it. Neither the seller nor SanDisk wants to know so just another waste of money. Only buy if you want a disposable MP3.
Horrible
Sent it back for credit
Would give it 0 stars if I could
It's unreliable and flimsy and really difficult to interface with your computer
The manual is useless and tells you nothing of any use
Bought a Samsung U3 which is 1000 times better in every way
Bargain, but can't handle SDHC
I bought this as a 1GB pendrive / MicroSD-USB adaptor with MP3 as a bonus so was a little dissapointed that it can't handle SDHC - restricting you to 2GB microSDs. Probably why its being discounted.
As an MP3 player its OK. Volume is a bit limited. I've not established how long the charge lasts.
Dragging and dropping mp3 files to the unit when plugged into USB2 port is fine. As manufacturers are under considerable pressure to remove this functionality and require a copyright observing "music manager" app,
players which do this are likely to become rarer.
On all the 32 bit Win XPs I've tried this on, no Remove Hardware icon pops up and there is no Eject menu option for the "Portaple Media Player" in Explorer, so I've resorted to just yanking it unannounced from the PC. I've only seen Eject and Stop options come up for this unit under 64 bit XP.
2GB MicroSDs are pretty cheap now so you can increase the memory from 1GB to 3GB. Not worth paying over twice as much for the 2GB model that increases to 4GB.
