Customer Reviews

Doesn't live up to the fab book1
We excitedly opened the box to play the game as my nearly 3 year old daughter loves the book. It didn't live up to our expectations for the following reasons:
1) all the game pieces are made of cardboard (which is great from an environmental point of view) however we had to create 4 boxes from precut cardboard templates for the 'players' - these aren't very durable, in my opinion
2) the box is way bigger than is required to contain the flat cardboard pieces - not so green
3) the instructions could be more clear, eg what happens in the food circles - must all players enter or just those that land on the circle?

On the plus side, it is colourful using the fab illustrations from the book and we have used the food counters for counting and sorting activities.

disappointing1
The box states "a game of counting. colours and contrasts."
I didn't feel my 3 year old had much to learn from this game except possibly improving counting from one space to the other. The game boxes are flimsy and I can't see them lasting long. On the plus side - the game doesn't go on for long, so suits the concentration span of a 3 year old.

Good fun!4
Our son (4) loves the game. Its relation to the book makes it easy to understand and fun to recognize. It isn't extraordinary but it is solid fun with the spinning device and the moon circle. The card board boxes are maybe not that sturdy but easy to replace if they do break! We played it lots since we bought it, even good fun for adults!
