Synopsis
Funny girl made good, singer-actress-director Barbra Streisand is so adored that her concert tickets sell for thousands of dollars. The concert which is documented on this video, however, is more special (and hence, expensive) than any other that she has performed. Staged on the last night of the Millennium--December 31, 1999--this concert is the final one of Streisand's glorious career. Sorry Babs could do a lot better
Great dvd when she is singing but there is to much talking and a lot of the included footage of fan comments and show buildup will soon start to get very waring after a few times.
Also the picture was barely up to VHS standard it appears to be rather soft. The sound is good but for my taste their were to many distractions such as the opening sequence with a tap dancer in front of a clock went on far to long.
Considering all the footage available of Babs i felt that her first dvd could have been a lot better.

despite the audience
The most disappointing part of this recording is the audience. It is clear that there are many people that are not Streisand fans, I am sure they attend every event featuring a big name. This is not a fault of course, but it makes the night boring at many times. Barbra gives a superb vocal performance especially in the second act. She is not in her best mood and seems uncomfortable. Despite all these, this is the concert of the greatest singer of all times. Not so many people in the world get the chance to see her perform live and this dvd is at least a consolation for us.

Why on 4:3? It's a brand new release after all!
I'm a Streisand fan for 25 years now (I"m 37 y.o!) It's a wonderful experience to see her live with a such a quality of sound and picture but why (OH WHY) not on a wide-screen format? I was reaally dissapointed!
