Synopsis
Recorded on New Years Eve 1993, and New Years Day 1994, at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, these concerts saw Barbra welcome in the New Year with spectacular style. Joined by comedian Mike Myers to add a touch of humor to the shows, this is Barbra at her frivolous best. Bonus footage includes clips from two 1960s CBS specials, "Color Me Barbra," and "My Name Is Barbra."

Streisand's return with a BANG!!!5
This concert showcases a raw Streisand like nothing I've seen before. Having seen the concert version on Sky one back in 1994, it varies quite a lot. That was the first time I saw Ms Streisand and she captured my interest in her instantly!

The sound is brilliant, the quality and amount of cameras actually in the arena is amazing. Some quality editing has been used too!

The DVD would have been even better had the American 1 hour special "The Concert of the decade" having been included but the 2 bonus songs are really interesting.

Seeing Barbra on stage is a wonderful thing. This performance is not as polished as the VHS concert, which was released some time ago, is.

But you get the feel to what sets Barbra apart from her peers. Her energy, expression and interpretation of each song is unique. It also has made me like her Timeless concert even more because of the stark diversity of that concert compared with this one.

A concert for anyone who likes Streisand type of music and a must for any body who likes good, pure talent!

The Best Barbra Concert You're Ever likely to see5
Fact: Barbra Streisand is the worlds biggest female album selling artist (Guinness book of records). People think it's Madonna, because the MTV crowd wouldn't sit through a two-hour run-down for it to be a woman who's been around since the early 60's. But it is - the worlds biggest female artist is Barbra Streisand. And there is a reason for that.

The crowd has been waiting for Barbra's New York Concert for 27 years... there's tantamount excitement in the auditorium... the band plays an Overture... building up to her arrival for a good five minutes... and then she appears, holding her microphone like a bouquet of delicate flowers... shy and dazzlingly beautiful... the first song 'As if We Never Said Goodbye' is the most perfect for this occasion... 'Tonight it feels as if we never said Goodbye... Now I'm standing centre stage, I've come home at last' and a beautiful shiver travels down your spine...

And there are plenty more to be had. Her voice is as powerful and touching as ever, with the added purity of age, this is Barbra at her very best. Working your way through a two-hour show, with over 30 segments can't be easy... but she never misses a single note.

I'm a big fan of Barbra but I must admit that the most recent 'Timeless' concert was a disappointment to me. This is the concert you HAVE to see. No self-respecting music lover should be without it. This is what live music, in fact, this is what music is all about. I urge you to buy it.

Her Best Concert5
Finally on DVD, Barbra's best Vegas concert. Much better than Timeless, recorded New Year's Eve 1999/2000. Here her voice is still perfectlyplaced, her songs are premium and her presence is still at her best level. Now, a suggestion! When the release of YENTL in DVD? By far the best musicscore and songs written for the screen...
