For an astonishing 25 years the Electrician's Guide to the IEE Wiring Regulations by John Whitfield has been a bestseller amongst electricians including students, installers and designers. His new book, which covers the newly introduced 17th edition of the wiring regulations, is a continuation of the bestselling series. It disentangles the complicated Wiring Regulations into what you have to do in practice. It enables you, for example, when doing a particular job, to find out readily what all the applicable regulations are. Compliance with the standards is thus ascertained. The book is full of clear, up-to-date calculations and drawings. It has been redesigned and bound as lay-flat book to facilitate reading on the job . Installers and designers including students (eg City & Guilds) will thus benefit from this little gem of a book .

Editorial Reviews
Review
On the 2004 edition of the book:'A book worth every penny! As a student of C&G 2360, I found this book to be a goldmine of useful information. The layout is very dense, and the diagrams only black & white. But the quality of information it contains has assisted with every assignment that needs to be done. Some other books are quite vague, but you will find this one much more helpful...' 5 Star verdict A reader from Southend on Sea on (December 2004) --Amazon website
On the 2001 edition of the book: 'A first rate guide to the 16th Edition Regulations' This is a little gem of a book ..... I have wired out several houses using the 15th Regs guide and this updated version takes into account the changes and amendments in the 16th Edition. It takes the VERY complicated and not very readable IEE wiring regs and breaks them down into what you have to do in practice. Full of very clear and concise line drawings. A MUST if you intend doing your own wiring. Nearly every Electrician keeps a copy in his toolbox. 5 Star verdict. Rick Hughes from Swansea, Wales --Amazon website
On the 2004 edition of the book: 'Very useful. A very useful guide to all of the regulations. It details them in an easy to understand form, rather than listing what they are. 4 star verdict. James19635 (december 2004) --Amazon website
