Synopsis
The new, 're-imagined' "Battlestar Galactica" has quickly established itself as one of the most acclaimed series on any network, and was recently voted TV Show of the Year by "Time" magazine. With its classy ensemble cast, including Edward James Olmos and Mary McDonnell, its cutting edge special effects, superb production design and gritty, adult-oriented scripts, the new "Battlestar Galactica" is being hailed as both a worthy successor to a classic original, and a stunning piece of television in its own right. This second official companion is packed once again with exclusive interviews, photos, behind-the-scenes secrets, and a complete season two episode guide.
Customer Reviews
A great book - essential for BSG fans.
If you read the first Battlestar Galactica companion, then you know what to expect from the season two book: incredibly detailed guides to the making of every episode, plus great interviews with all the cast (including - yeah! - Michael 'Tigh' Hogan and Callum Keith 'Leoben' Rennie) and key crew. Yes, the book covers a lot of the same ground covered in Ron Moore's podcasts, but it's also packed with a lot of riveting extra information, like the attempted casting of film star Sigourney Weaver as Admiral Cain. There's also a lovely introduction written by Mary McDonnell, you can almost hear her voice as you read it! Shame there's not more colour photos in the book, though - apart from a few colour spreads, the pictures are all black and white.
