	The State Within : Complete BBC Series [2006] [DVD] Buy new: £8.48 / Used from: £6.50 Wonderfully written and acted spy thriller with shades of Wag the Dog, 24 and West Wing. Jason Issacs and Ben Daniels both shine (and occasionally smolder) in their roles as UK Ambassador and spy.
	Shock to the System: A Donald Strachey Mystery [DVD] [2006] [Region 1] [US Import] [NTSC] Buy used from: £35.52 Private Investigator Don Strachey investigates an apparent suicide and a reparative therapy clinic, while dealing with his own past with the help of his partner Tim.
	Third Man Out [DVD] [2005] [Region 1] [US Import] [NTSC] Buy used from: £3.50 The first of the Don Strachey Mysteries to be televised. It isn't quite as slick as the second one (Shock to the System) but is a lot closer to the books (but modernised).
	Smoke and Shadows by Tanya Huff Buy new: £5.99 / Used from: £0.50 Tanya Huff's books are bi/gay friendly but the Smoke series (spin-off of her Blood series) adds a wonderful layer of humour and TV references as the hero works on the crew of a Vancouver-shot TV show.
	Smoke and Mirrors by Tanya Huff Buy new: £6.29 / Used from: £0.52 Book 2 of the Smoke series takes a slightly darker turn as Tony, Lee and the crew are stuck in a haunted house while filming a haunted house episode. Nice balance of thriller, humour and UST.
	Smoke and Ashes (Smoke) by Tanya Huff Buy new: £4.73 / Used from: £0.25 Book 3 finishes off the series (and leaves you wishing there were more) as Tony and the gang deal with incoming demons (mostly physical, a few personal) with the help of an immortal stuntwoman.
	Lord John and the Private Matter by Diana Gabaldon Buy new: £5.96 / Used from: £0.01 Another spin-off with a gay lead, this time of a romance series. Mostly historical, political mystery, Lord John must investigate the loss of vital troop dispatches while dealing with family matters.
	Point of Hopes by Melissa Scott Buy used from: £1.55 Gay/Bi-friendly historical AU provides an interesting background for a detective case involving missing children and political unrest. Very low key but the two heroes are straight as hatstands
	Point of Dreams by Melissa Scott Buy used from: £1.09 Sequal to Point of Hopes, the boys once again find themselves in the midst of crime and intrigue, this time in a mix of murder, magic and theatre. It just isn't how they planned on moving in together.
	My Dearest Holmes Buy used from: £23.68 Published slash fic. A very nicely done interweaving of Holmes and historical commentary. Part 1: a blackmail case brings Watson's unspoken feelings to a crisis point. Part 2: Moriarty and Reichenbach
	Luck in the Shadows (Nightrunner) by Lynn Flewelling Buy new: £4.76 / Used from: £0.35 First in Lynn Flewelling's classic fantasy series detailing the adventures of Seregil and Alec. If you like fantasy with gay characters then this is a series (and author) to try.
	Temeraire (Temeraire 1) [a.k.a. His Majesty's Dragon] by Naomi Novik Buy new: £5.49 / Used from: £2.43 So no actual gay content, but a great series and one of 'our own' rocking the alt history genre - and who doesn't want the Nepoleonic war to have more dragons!
	Shelter [2007] [DVD] Buy new: £11.98 / Used from: £19.99 It's sweet, feel-good and has cute surfer boys
	On the Other Hand, Death: A Donald Strachey Mystery [DVD] [2008] [US Import] Buy used from: £8.67 Third in the the Strachey Movies series and my fav out of the four so far. Don investigates the harresment of a lesbian couple. Well done and finding a good level of adaption from the text.
