Amazon.co.uk Review
Jackass Number Two could be alternately titled "From Bow Ties to Bunny Ears: What Will Chris Pontius Be Wearing Next?" Like the first Jackass movie, Johnny, Bam, Chris, Steve-O and the gang are all here. This "sequel" is full of stunts, pranks and one-liners, and contains more male nudity, more scream-worthy moments and of course more uncontrollable laughter. The film opens with a rather well directed cinematic piece: the entire Jackass gang running from a stampede of bulls. From there it takes off into the hysterically exhausting world of Jackass. The bulls are in quite a few stunts actually, one of which has "leader" Johnny Knoxville using himself as a red flag, and getting spearheaded by a charging bull. Ah, good times.

Some of the stunts include: "Beehive Limo", "Fart Mask", "Red Rocket" and a fake terrorist plot which boasts the improve line, "Where I'm going, I don't need luggage." Bam gets branded, they fish for sharks with Steve-O as bait, Johnny catches Anacondas with his bare hands, the list goes on. The gem in this collection of antics has to be the offensive interactions with the innocent people on the street by Johnny Knoxville and director/actor Spike Jonez, while disguised as a very old man and woman. Celebrity guests partaking in stunts include extreme sports legends Tony Hawk and Mat Hoffman. The movie culminates in a beautifully choreographed, fantastical and dangerous musical number not to be missed. Throughout the movie it is apparent that the Jackass gang is older and a little more worn, especially when Bam pleads, "Please God, don't let there be a "Jackass 3". For fans of the TV series and the films, a trilogy may be just what the doctor ordered. The DVD extras (deleted scenes, unrated material and two pretty funny music videos) are more of the same and worth the watch, though some of it is not for the faint hearted. --Rachel Moss

Synopsis
Like its predecessor, undoubtedly--in relation to its budget--one of the most profitable studio films in history, JACKASS: NUMBER TWO is merely a series of wince-inducing stunts. These often result in injury--filmed with a handheld camcorder. Highlights this time around include a four-person seesaw in the middle of a bull ring; Knoxville, Pontius, and Margera being blasted with riot control pellets; fellow skate video alumnus Spike Jonze in elderly-woman makeup losing his clothing in public; and Knoxville blasting off on the outside of a rocket. And that's just for starters. NUMBER TWO gets its twisted, sadistic kicks out of the 'actors' sustaining puncture wounds and other injuries to their persons, and more male nudity than one normally sees in a mainstream film (including a surplus of scarred and bruised bottoms). JACKASS: NUMBER TWO is bookended by two beautifully filmed sequences--first the gang does a jaw-dropping running of the bulls down a suburban street. Then (and nothing is being spoiled here) the film concludes with an elaborate Busby Berkely musical number. These sequences up the ante a little bit from the first instalment, and though JACKASS TWO certainly isn't for everyone, it remains the best and safest way to see a guy blasted into a lake in a rocket-fuelled wheelchair.

Customer Reviews

It's a crazy, crazy, crazy crazy film, oh yeah!!!!!5
I love this film, in some ways it's even crazier than the first film and that's saying something, it looks like some of these stunts were staged rather than being as spontaneous as the first, but it's still wonderful to watch all the same.

Keys to enjoying Jackasa one or two:

Switch off your brain, turn your humour level up to it's maximum level, prepare yourself for ANYTHING to happen, if you think that someone's about to puke they probably will and they'll show them doing it too, last but not least sit back, relax and be ready to be entertained by THE craziest guys ever to walk the planet.

A joy to watch from start to finish, gross out humour at it's best/worst, I really hope that we have a 3rd installment, for me the Arab setup toward the end of the film is the cream of the crop, it's just brilliant, an absolute blast!!

This type of film is unique, although this is no Shawshank redemption, I have to give this 5 stars as it's a superb film in it's own right and for this type of film together with number one these are just about as perfect a film as you'll ever see.

Fantastic!5
Jackass rocks my world, about the only thing that cheers up my day, i cant go a day without watching it, its like my drug!!

i love all them guys, this is the best of the 3 movies (1,2 and 2.5)

Watch it, its a guarenteed laugh!

Funny and scary as heck5
If you never liked Jackass the tv show, or indeed the first Jackass movie, then you won't like this one. Have been watching it again in anticipation for the Jackass 2.5 release. From the stunning opener which finds the crew 'Running with the bulls', to the audacious and fantastically inept song and dance routine closer, the movie drags the viewer along for the ride. Providing laughs, groans, and more than a few moments where, this viewer at least, was watching from behind my hands, this movie is intense. There are moments (the Toro Totter stunt, for example) where things go from funny to scary quite rapidly. There are the incredibly involved stunts (the Terror Taxi - which is one of the few skits that doesn't bear repeated viewings) and the so simple you wish you'd thought of them. Very few miss the mark, though some do - but it's all personal taste. What one person finds funny another won't.

The dvd is packed with great extras - extra skits, trailers, deleted scenes, bloopers (though quite how you can have bloopers on a film like this I don't know!) and a great commentary. I was worried after hearing the messy commentaries for the tv boxset, and wanted there to be two commentaries as there was on the first movie - but they seem to have learned from their mistakes and everyone is given a fair chance to speak. Though Johnny Knoxville is obviously pushed to the front and heard from most, it is also brilliant to hear from 'lesser' members of the team such as Dave England and Ehren McGehey.

Not sure yet if I am with Bam on hoping that there is no Jackass number three. There are points in this movie where you realise just how unbelieveably lucky these guys are.
