Cradle recharges battery packs, makes Wiimotes look spiffy when not in use.' 9.0/10

Manufacturer's Description
Easily charge and store your Wii Remotes with Nyko's Charge Station for Wii. The Charge Station includes 2 NiMH batteries, exclusively designed for the Wii Remote, each providing up to 25 hours of play time. Each battery is easily recharged by placing the Wii Remote in the charging dock. The charging dock conveniently plugs into any standard wall outlet, allowing for rapid recharging of both batteries in 8 hours. The Charge Station includes 2 custom battery covers with contact pass-through points so you can charge the batteries while they are still in the remote. Each battery cover is also rubberized for superior grip during intense gaming sessions. The Charge Station matches the style of the Wii, and is small enough to fit in any home entertainment center.

    Can't ask for more5
We bought this docking station because Gamestation had 2 sorts and this was the one which had its own battery-things included although it was a touch more expensive.

We have never had a problem with it, it charges quickly, the batteries last for ages whereas before we were going through loads of cheapo batteries! It matches the colour of the wii and the battery-covers are rubberised so they are non-slip which is great.

The only thing which I have only recently noticed as a slightly possible hindrance is that it does need its own plug socket which can be a bit of a pain because our wii is in the living room amongst the tv, dvd player, vcr (yes I still have one!) and cable box so there are lots of wires but it just means it can be plugged in when the wii isn't being used and kept with their charge until needed.

I will probaby end up putting mine on here to sell soon though because for no reason at all my girlfriend has just decided to go out and buy a new charging station which plugs straight into the wii so there is no need for an extra plug socket. BUT it hasn't come with it's own batteries so we have to go out and buy new rechargeable AAA batteries for each wii-mote, it will only charge when the wii is in standby mode which I believe defeats the object and considering we can't keep our wii on standby between uses, we have to turn it off at the plug because it throws a wobbly and we need to reboot it anyway, I can see the situation getting beyond annoying.

I prefer this one, it's always worked, works well with my temperamental wii and is worth the extra money. All I can say to those who's have died - just take it back and get a replacement and if that doesn't work get a refund, but you will always get the odd few that don't work - one of the drawbacks of technology

    Excellent purchase5
This is an excellent piece of kit, which I am really pleased with and has saved me loads of money on batteries.
After looking around for ages and being a bit concerned about some of the problems with reliability I found an interview with Nyko where they said they would replace any damaged equipment due to a fault in their charger. So I took the plunge and have never looked back.
This is much better than any of the USB chargers as the Wii doesn't have to be on to charge the batteries.
Spare batteries are available from Nyko, so when they eventually can't hold their charge you can get replacements.
One point to remember about rechargeable batteries. The best way to use them is, charge them up fully and then use the remote until the battery is flat and then charge it up full again. This will ensure that you maximise the life of the rechargeable battery. Don't use the remote for 1/2 hour and then put it back on charge, as the capacity of the battery will reduce quicker. This is valid for any rechargeable batteries.

    Worked twice, now useless1
This item charged my wii-motes twice and now is completely lifeless. An expensive waste of money. Good when it works but now useless.
