Customer Reviews

Fantastic read, great recipes5
I bought the book to support a charity which is close to my heart, but was amazed at the quality of the book. The sories are both fascinating and touching and make a great read. However the biggest surprise of all was the quality of the recipes. I've only tried 2 so far, but the spiced chicken pitta pockets made a great lunch at the weekend and the baked figs wowed my parents at lunch on Sunday :)

I can't recommend this book highly enough. I have heaps of cook books at home but this already ranks as one of my favourites!

Cracking book - excellent!5
Was really impressed with the layout and design of this book but the best bit is reading about peoples' heroes which are fascinating. There is an intriging mix of politicians, celebrities and forces people which makes it a really interesting read. The recipes are well done and seem easy to understand. This is a fabulous book which is raising money for Help for Heroes - it's a cracker!

A Fantastic Book!5
This is a Fantastic Book! What could be more fascinating than interesting, and often heroic, people talking about their favourite interesting and heroic person?!?! Plus you find out about lots of yummy favourite recipes too. I was lucky enough to meet one of the RAF contributors and am in awe of the brilliant job he and his colleagues are doing, while at the same time finding time to get this book together. It's a brilliant book supporting a very worthwhile charity which I hope everyone will buy by the shed load!
