Customer Reviews
A nice piece of portable kit.
I bought this after connecting a PC to my new 42" TV. I owned a Microsoft wireless keyboard of standard size which was okay for the job, but too bulky. This keyboard is the same size as a laptop keyboard which makes it much lighter and more comfortable to use if you're sat on a sofa or armchair - infact it rests nicely on the arm of them, or on your lap without becoming too cumbersome. The wireless adapter that connects the keyboard to your PC was a plug a play type, I had eveything operational in literally two clicks. Another nice touch is that the keyboard switches itself off after five minutes of inactivity; no doubt saving us all £'s in wasted batteries.... to switch it back on you simply press any key. I've had no problems whatsoever using it from anywhere in my lounge, so there are no connectivity issues. The built-in touch pad eliminates the need for a mouse and it even has a scroller incorporated into the touch pad.
All in all, a great bit of kit and at £25 it comes through with flying colours as top value too..... Highly recommended.
Very good for the money
I'm a teacher and use this to control my laptop which is attached to a projector. I sit 25 feet from my laptop and it works great!
At this price it's a steal - the portable functionality and a reasonable quality feel for £25 is outstanding. It has worked faultlessly on several Vista machines - now if only this was the case for most peripherals!
My criticisms:
The track pad is not to my taste - a little slow, but acceptable, and, as mentioned by another reviewer, not adjustable.
The keys are a bit 'bouncy'.
I would much prefer it if the USB transmitter had a dock in the keyboard which turned it off - you know, the way, wireless mice work. I know I'm going to lose it.
You'd never use it in preference to your laptop's keyboard and mouse but until they make them detachable and able to transmit wirelessly, this is a great solution.
Brilliant piece of kit
Having bought a new lcd tv for the bedroom and using it as a pc monitor(not much space for a desk)i thought a wireless keyboard may be a good idea so i found out about this one by a freind and being much cheaper than others i said what the hell,It's fantsastic, less than a minute to set up a touch pad instead of a mouse, with a scroller! it's great, batteries come included which is a bonus the pad shuts down after 5 minuites of being idle but comes on with a tap of a button.
This comes highley reccomended a great piece of kit for the price.
