Sizzling Surprise!
I was lucky enough to receive the Tefal electric fondue for Christmas and am delighted with it. I have always been a fan of fondues but have always complained that with a traditional fondue that it can be often hard to light and second even harder to ensure the flames don't fizzle out before the meal is finished. This electic fondue solves these problems perfectly. No messing around with lighting it - just plug it in and set the thermostat. And secondly, this is the first meat fondue I've had where the oil has not cooled and made it impossible to cook the meat, this one remained sizzling right down to the last bite. And finally, after the lovely meal - it was delight to clean.
The only negative comment I'd make is that I consider the fondue forks to look a bit cheap - but the fondue pot itself, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it. In fact I know someone who will receive it very soon as a birthday present!

So much better than using a meths burner
This product replaced an old traditional fondue set that I'd had for years. What a difference!

For starters, you can control the heat pretty well, to ensure your fondue stays hot but doesn't start burning in the center (a big problem of my old fondue).

The surface it is placed on only gets barely warm so it won't damage your table top either.

Only caveat is: don't let youngsters near it (unsupervised) because the heating ring is directly under the pot and gets near red hot on maximum setting.

This has revolutionised our fondue eating; it's now a pleasure to get out the fondue (with no lingering meths smell either!).
