The Andrew James Raclette & Fondue This product is designed so that the Fondue pot heats to the perfect temperature whilst at the same time you can enjoy the pleasures of the Raclette. You do not need to pre-heat the fondue. Simply turn on and cook at the table This model can be enjoyed with or without the Fondue (Please see photos). The main advantages of this model are that your guests can cook their own meat, seafood and vegetables on top of the raclette grill. You can then use the Fondue forks to dip into the fondue sauce. No need to pre-cook foods for the fondue, your guests will have loads more fun cooking for themselves. You will notice that when the Raclette is being used without the Fondue that a small silver dipping sauce dish is inserted. You can use a small amount of dipping sauces e.g, Soy Sauce, Chilli and Hot Pepper sauce. You will also notice from the picture (please click to enlarge) that there are grill pans included. As a result of cooking with the pans you are using direct heat from the heating element. Whilst at the same time you can cook almost anything on the top surface. One of the best aspects of the raclette & Fondue is that you the host, can spend a lot more time with your guests instead of being tied up in the kitchen preparing the next course. *Ideal for upto 8 people

Perfect for parties
I bought this as a gift for my girlfriend and we promptly put it to use at her birthday celebration. People were predictably cautious at first but once we got the hang of it it quickly became a fun, interactive way to cook. Ultimately it means that the food becomes part of the party. Also, and critically, it means that as host you don't need to check on food being cooked etc, it's all there (assuming you've prepared it!) on the table, waiting to be cooked.

Obviously it does mean that you need to be a little bit careful as to how you handle the raw food near the cooked! Worth keeping an eye on guests who don't know their way around a kitchen.

All in all a good buy and a good price for what you get.
