The Clima120 is a revolution in portable air conditioners as it uses advanced heat pump technology to deliver more cooling or heating than the energy it consumes. During the summer this portable air conditioner will provide 3.5kW (12,000btu) of cooling from just 1.35kW of energy consumed. Then in the winter it will provide 3.6kW (12,500btu) of heating from just 1.28kW of energy consumed. The Clima120 is a true climate control system and a much better proposition for the UK market than a regular portable air conditioner as its useful year round, providing energy efficient cooling and heating. The energy efficient technology means that the running cost is just 16p per hour to get the same cooling that would cost 42p per hour from a normal air conditioner (calculated on the unit running at full output and electricity costing 12p/kWh). Likewise you'd be paying 15p per hour to get 3.6kW of heat from the Clima120, whereas a regular fan, convector or oil filled heater would be costing you 43p per hour for the same heat output. If the unit was to operate at full output for 12 hours per day, this unit would save you £21.84 per week when cooling and £23.52 per week when heating compared to regular air conditioners and electric heaters. The Clima120 has two air hoses that need to be vented to the outside. It can either be installed against a wall with the rigid plastic wall ducts going through two drilled holes or connected to two flexible hoses, which can be fed out through a slightly open window or door (ducts and hoses supplied). The unit has four operating modes; cooling, heating, dehumidification and automatic (cooling & heating via a thermostat). It has three speed modes and an auto-start and stop timer. It comes with a remote control and top-mounted LCD control panel. The Clima120 has a three litre water tank to collect the condensation or can be used with a continuous drain option.
