Excellent Bike!!
This bike is really excellent for the price. It has great gears (shimano altus) and fantastic suspension. It is very easy to set up and comes with the tools to do it.
I wasn't sure before buying this how easy it would be to assemble as I couldn't find any information on it. However when it arrived it has a manual on how to do everything from changing the gear ratios to setting up the brakes.
I would definitely recommend it to anyone who is looking for a good bike at entry level price.
Excellent value for money
This bike is excellent value for the price. Gears work smoothly and very easy to use. Quite light and feels very good quality overall.
A value purchase
Overall happy with the bike. Transfers were scratched when bike delivered which was disappointing although far from critical. Components on the bike are pretty good but you can see the welding on the frame is average and a bit unsightly if you take the time to look at it (which most people won't, certainly my daughter does not care a jot!). Paintwork looks a bit fragile and I notice that when the chain came off (see comment on gears below) the black paint was scratched off easily where the peddle stem joined the frame. This is a slight design flaw since it would have been fine if left as bare metal. Gears need adjusting to get them to work across the full range but I assume this is normal. This review is meant to be informative rather than a complaint since overall you get what you pay for and this is not an expensive bike. It is a good value purchase if you want a good looking and reasonably well equipped bike on a budget. Just do not expect the best quality since you would have to pay over twice the price for that. Acid test is that my daughter (12) is very happy with her new bike and I am sure it will give her many years of fun.
