Caution: Doesn't fit all car sockets
I really wanted this to work but it doesn't fit the lighter socket in my Audi. The square end means that it won't fit deeply enough into the socket to make an electrical contact. In the end I took a file to it and made 4 deep grooves in order to get it to fit. Not an ideal solution - presumably that's why many other adapters have curved ends.

Wobbly fit
Good product let down by the fit in my Peugeot 306 socket, wobbly and sits proud, not flush as expected. I suspect other manufacturer (US) sockets may differ.

Doesn't work in a Honda Jazz due to non-tapered end
As others have noted, this charger has a blunt end which means that it can't make contact with terminal inside the power point. I'd suggest getting the Kensington equivalent of this, since that has a tapered end that's likely to fit in any kind of car! (it certainly worked for me)
