Motion Sensitive Owl (or not so sensitive)
This owl is very attractive for use as a garden ornament.

The quality of the sound is good but, unfortunately, the sensitivity of the Motion Detector is found wanting.

First, if it is facing the sun shining through moving trees, it will set off the hooting sound.

Second, the range of sensitivity of the sensor at other times is very poor - actually, it is useless.

We had hopes that it would scare off some of the pigeons that come into our garden, but it was only the sight of the owl itself which worked for a while. Now that they are more familiar with it, they do tend to return.
