Customer Reviews
Just what it says on the cover.
This is a nice looking phone, attractive colour and easy to use. Nothing fancy, but then that's what I wanted: a more up-to-date design but basic phone to transfer my current SIM card to. It's worked fine (I've had it for a month now) so far and I'm very happy with the purchase.
Just the ticket!
As a more mature user (55) I've been going 'backwards' on mobile selection. Tried a more complex Nokia phone about a year ago and gave up, handed it on to the teenage daughter who clearly thought I was mad (she was delighted!), dragged an ancient Nokia out of a drawer and have been using that happily ever since. Just starting to get a bit patchy on reception though so when I saw this Nokia 1209 for a little over £20 I couldn't resist it. Arrived in a tiny box, just big enough to hold the phone and the charger, rather than the usual chaotic and wasteful over-packaging you get with most phones. SIM insertion is incredibly easy - and you can't always say that. Plugged it in and it worked straightaway. Less than an hour later I had a fully-charged, easy to use phone which I reckon even my dear old mum (who is 85) could use. Got two 1209s in fact, including one for the missis who has also got fed up with complicated (and fragile) phones with big vulnerable screens and 'features' she never uses. Keep making these simple phones Nokia, and I will keep buying them.
All one needs
As the saying now goes "It does what it says on the packet". It's a worthy successor to the 3300 series, very user friendly even for the technically illiterate.
