Manufacturer's Description
Dyson - the cleaner that doesn't lose suction. Others clog. Ours don't
Root Cyclone™ technology - Patented Dyson technology. Doesn't clog so it doesn't lose suction. Dyson has developed a unique system that does not rely on filters or bags to separate dirt from air. Instead it uses powerful centrifugal force to spin the dirt out of the air, so there’s no clogging and no loss of suction
Doesn't lose suction. Doesn't clutter when stored
Approved for allergy sufferers - All models carry the British Allergy Foundation Seal of Approval
Shrinks to store away - Hose and wand compress and wrap for easier storage
No running costs - lifetime and no bags to buy. Filters particles as small as cigarette smoke and no need to replace - just wash every 6 months
5 Year Guarantee - Repeatedly tested for an equivalent 10 years of use to ensure durability. Dyson support on hand 7 days a week
Tough durable construction - Made from the strongest materials available to withstand bumps and bashes
Clear bin - Made from tough polycarbonate - the same material used in crash helmets - so it's strong and durable
High efficiency airways - Maximise the airflow through the machine and reduce blockages
Clean exhaust air - Air expelled from a Dyson contains up to 150 times less mould and bacteria than the air you breathe
Variable suction - Reduces suction so you can clean curtains, upholstery or rugs without them sticking to the cleaner
On-board tool storage - Tools store securely on the machine so they're always on-hand
Contact Head - Articulates at the neck to maintain contact with the floor even as you pull backwards

Does the job
Had this about one month to replace an upright Dyson that was just too bulky. Does the job though I would agree with others that it needs emptying every time you use it. Otherwise, great!
fabloomintastic
My old electrolux dyson copy was wearing out an making a lot of noise, I had £50 in necter points so used them and bought this (did think about a PSP but that woulda gone the way of most of my gadgets...in the draw an taken out once every six month :-)...)I have a Choc Lab that insists on moulting almost all year round...I tried glue but it didn work..lol....this lifts the carpet while removing all sign of hair, its much much more quieter than the old motor, even the mutt likes gettin rubbed down with the contact head...I know its an expensive choice but I know people that have the 1st gen Dysons still goin so in the long run it should be worth it....ooooo an my stairs look cleaner than they have in years ;-)
I'm sick of emtying the damn thing
Either my house is very dusty or this thing just needs emptying every time you do a room. Come back hoover bags all is forgiven!!
