Nice set but a little expensive for what you get
Bought these from another supplier, i was expecting to be blown away. However i was a little disapointed, maybe i raised my expectations too high. I bought these after a recommendation by a friend who is a professional chef.

BLOCK

Bamboo block is nice however the slots cut are a little too big for the knives. So the knives have room to move about and therefore handles touching etc.

Block has rubber feet which is nice.

Henckels badge is solid and is of high quality

KNIVES
------

In the past ived used my mums Sabatier knives which had a nice weight and were razor sharp. The handles solid etc.

Regarding these knives the handles seem to be made of a cheap plastic, which is easliy scratched etc.

The logos on the side instead of being embedded logo (Which is what i thought) its simply a sticker that will not last 2 washes.

They feel quite light weight, and certainly doesnt have the quality feel of the sabatier knives ive used in the past.

Blades are razor sharp as expected.


SUMMARY

Great knives but not really worth the money in my opinion, if i were to buy again i would spend say £80 on a Sabatier set.

Henckels make some of the best knives in the world. 5 star knifes are a middle of the Henckels range, Very sharp straight out of the box, well balanced, and a pleasure to use. Well priced item, you won't be disappointed.
