The Ironkey Memory Stick
After using other memory sticks with secure data encryption and finding that my work network would not allow full use, Ironkey came up trumps. I work with confidential information and can honestly say I am now 99.9% confident that in the event of losing the Ironkey the stored info will remain confidential.I chose the 4Gb standard edition as it had additional backup services and the password manager. I particularly liked the self destruct ability and the password generator. A brilliant, brilliant product in my humble opinion.
Great product, excellent IronKey support!
I've bought this product from Amazon UK now 3-4 months, and since then, I didn't have any problem with it. Nice updates, comprehensive, great software package (after you'll install some extra portable applications) and good transfer speed. For me, for a large number of files, it copies the files on stick with 4-5MB/s, which is OK for me.
I've had some problems activating my device online, and IronKey managed to help me within 1-2 business days. My problem was solved as quickly as possible. IronKey works using ticketing system, so each time you're replying to them, they've respond you very quickly, with all information you need.
Also, there is a KnowledgeBase where you can find all the informations possible regarding patches, small hacks, bugs solve and so on.
This device I can confirm you that doesn't have any bug, it's premium made compared to other products from SanDisk, Transcend and so on.. Some people would say that you should be crazy to pay such amount of moneys for a 4GB stick, but it worth every penny. You don't buy just a product, you pay also for their online support, which is more than great.
I've had a problem in the past with my stick (I couldn't activate my device, and in the end I've found that was a problem with my Windows), and IronKey wanted to change my device without any comment, and also, to pay the shipping for me. I've preferred to solve the problem without changing the device, so I didn't change it and solved the problem myself with their help.
Nice gadget, nice support, hope to last much..
One more thing.. IronKey told me that this device supports to be rewritten about 100.000 times, almost 3 times more than a normal USB stick! :D
I'd recommend this device to anyone!

Data = Safe!
I've had an Ironkey 4gb version for about 9-months now and have found it a great for data security and general file transfer. The device is rock-solid, being built from titanium, and is even waterproof. I've heard a few look as though they've been cobbled together due to the messy glue for the waterproofing, however, mine is fine. Hell, you're buying this thing for the job it does, not looks anyway!
Ironkey regularly updates the firmware for security improvements, new software, etc. - Firefox 3 was added a couple of months after it came out.
I've had no trouble with the Ironkey being recognised on multiple computers, however, sometime the unlocking screen has not auto-run (this seems to be down to computer security configurations). Also, note that you need a high-powered USB port for the Ironkey to run - might not run on older PCs with only low-powered ports.
In summary, great product, despite the premium price. If only the British government/corporates used more of these, the world would be a safer place!
