Product Description

Nick and Laurie have a giant problem and it's a lot bigger than they originally thought. When Taloa sent them off to find her sisters, they discovered a single fire breathing giant, but as it turns out, that one giant is just the tip one the proverbial iceberg. According to NoSeeum Jack, the blind giant killer who helped Nick, Laurie, and Jared dispatch the original giant, there are hundreds, possibly even thousands of giants underneath the surface waiting to wake up. And since Taloa refuses to give any assistance until her sisters are located, the kids turn to a kingdom of merfolk for help...which inevitably means that there's trouble on the way!

About the Author
Holly Black spent her early years in a decaying Victorian mansion where her mother fed her a steady diet of ghost stories and faerie tales. An avid collector of rare folklore volumes, spooky dolls, and crazy hats, she lives in West Long Branch, New Jersey, with her husband, Theo. Together with illustrator Tony DiTerlizzi, she is the creator of the bestselling Spiderwick Chronicles series of children's books. For more information, visit www.blackholly.com. Mary Botham Howitt was born in 1799 in Coleford, England. Originally published in 1829, Mary's best-known work 'The Spider and the Fly' has been enjoyed by generations of readers and has become an age old classical cautionary tale. Mary Howitt died in Rome in 1888. Tony DiTerlizzi's unique and unusal artstyle is the perfect complement to Howitt's classic tale. He lives with his wife in Brooklyn, New York.

Bought as a present!5
This book was bought as a present for my friend's daughter. She loves the Spiderwick Chronicles and now has the complete collection up to yet! They are well worth the money and are a fantastic read for children with magical imaginations!

brilliant follow up to spiderwick.5
if you are into spiderwick stories, the next books are well worth having. they are giving my son hours of fun still now when he takes the books out with him on the hunt for goblins and faries. would recomend the fieldguide into the collection.

One for Spiderwick Fans4
Really one for people that have read the first series of the Spiderwick Chronicles. However I read the book in a couple of days (much to my parents annoyance!).

Very exciting read with good characters and the plot gets better with each book, for those that have read Nixies Song this has a twist on what happened before.

Would recommend to all fans.
