I'm a rich Kid4
I was fond of my cheap and cheerful kenwood gadget (£25) until it smashed to pieces when i dropped it on the tile floor. After numerous accidents with the Kenwood (I was really drunk at the time) i decided to splash out $115 for one of these Artisan beasts.

I do find the KitchenAid Artisan works perfectly for whipping cream for my morning Irish coffees and mashing potato for my dinner. I find it indespensible for whipping up strawberries for my daily vodka binge - 1/2 bottle of Vladivar Vodka and punnet of strawberries. I think these Artisan blenders look fantastic I am currently listening to Van Morrison records and drinking wine while smoking the occasional cheap thin cigar.
