A FAB PRESENT
My sons bought me this Le Creuset collection of cookware as a present and I love everything about it. I have used Le Creuset saucepans, casserole dishes and stoneware items for years and still have many of these original pieces which still look good after they are removed from the dishwasher. The blue casserole dish is a really versatile size as is the stoneware dish. I am looking forward to using the steamer; steaming a mixture of vegetables over a pan full of potatoes seems a sensible and healthy way to cook to me. The skillet pan is also a handy size and with the lip at the front is now easier to lift...(but CERTAINLY not too heavy for 'old granny' types as was suggested by one of your reviewers!) It was a really thoughtful present as my sons know how much I like collecting Le Creuset cookware for its brilliant cooking qualities and good looks. It is substantial as opposed to heavy, and like this 'old lady' who can handle it very effectively it also scrubs up exceptionally well! Thank you boys, it really was a kind and fabulous gift idea!
