Mixed Feelings
I love these lamps as they provide great light - either a diffused light with the uplighter to warmly light the whole room, or the spotlight to angle exactly where it needs to be.

My only problem is that they just don't last very long. We have bought three of these lamps in the last three years (not this one specifically) but each of them has caused problems. I use the light every evening to read and study by in my bedroom as the spotlight is great and my eyes are bad! However, the bulbs blow every 6-8 weeks; the little metal handle you use to angle the spotlight falls out and won't stay in; it is difficult to change the bulbs as the screws fall inside the outer casing, and in my latest one, the glass covering the bulb in the spotlight has shattered over my bed this morning - thank goodness I wasn't in it. We have spent a fortune buying the expensive light bulbs.

So although I love my lamp when it is working - it really does the job, I am concerned about how quickly they start to go wrong. It is because they are meant to be occasional lamps and I am using it 'too often' - it doesn't say in the instructions not to use it on a daily basis, or is there a design fault in them - whichever brand you use (and we have had three different makes so far)?

This lamp is worth every pound spent: good looking, functional and obviously very bright

I strongly recommend it if you need additional lights in your rooms

The lamp arrived promptly and was easy to assemble. The actual light it gives is brilliant and the dimmer is perfect for creating the right ambience.
